And as always with Garmin, you get reliability, fast satellite lock, a slim, small, hand-held navigation device with a beautiful display, detailed maps, and simple, easy to use controls.

And talk about the ultimate in travel convenience, the text-to-speech feature calls out street names (saying such things as “turn left on Capitol Drive” rather than just “turn left in 150 feet.”). This lets you keep your eyes on the road while driving thru heavy traffic and winding back roads.

The nuvi 260W is built with an extremely accurate GPS receiver. And for storing additional navigation tools and your photos and music, it accepts SD cards. You can even load your own personal media from your computer via a USB cable (not supplied). It has easy to use finger tip controls on a 4.3-inch backlit widescreen touchscreen display and comes with a rechargeable lithion-ion battery that gives up to 5 hours of battery life.

Right out of the box Garmin’s nuvi 260W comes preloaded with City Navigator NT for North America. City Navigator, Powered by NAVTEQ, gives you everything you need to travel the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico with almost 6 million points of interest with detailed road maps so will get precise travel directions to any address. It also comes with a quick start manual, vehicle suction cup mount, dashboard disk, and vehicle power cable.

This portable automobile GPS has an easy to use interface. It’s a key to their success and makes their GPS devices so much fun to use. With simple controls and sub-screens, it couldn’t be easier to search for travel destinations and get important information about your trip.

The 260W does much more than just navigate. You can store and view JPEG pictures, convert currencies and measurements. It also comes with a calculator, travel clock, an anti-theft feature and more.

If you like to add a person touch to your electronic gadgets then you’re in luck. The 260W allows you to customize the car icons in an array of different colors to set yourself apart from the GPS crowd. You can also add third party custom points of interest such as safety cameras and school zones.
